Challenging Cadwell Park qualifying for Easton

Swan Honda's Stuart Easton will start from the third row of the grid tomorrow for the opening race of the day following a challenging Swan Combi Roll for Pole qualifying session at Cadwell Park this afternoon.

Easton had set the pace at the start of the weekend in the opening free practice session and this afternoon the Swan Honda team worked hard to make improvements ahead of tomorrow's two races. In the scorching conditions Easton ended the day 0.758 seconds off the pole position time to qualify seventh.

Easton said: "Qualifying was a bit of a struggle and we made changes in all three of the sessions to try something different but because it was never the same thing twice it made it difficult to work out what was working in our favour. I did a good 1m:28.6s lap in the first practice session but other than this morning I haven't been able to match that time. We know what we need to do in warm up tomorrow morning so with some changes including dropping the front end and stiffening up the suspension I hope we can be back up there and challenging for another podium finish for Swan Honda."
